Forensic Practice: What

Clinicians need to know

READY TO LEVEL UP?

What is FORENSIC MENTAL HEATH Social Work?

Forensic social work applies clinical training to legal contexts evaluating, documenting, and supporting individuals whose lives intersect with the courts. This can include conducting psychosocial and mental health evaluations for courts and attorneys, providing case management and discharge planning for justice-involved individuals, offering reentry consulting, and serving as a clinical resource for legal teams.

It's a recognized, established area of practice within LCSW and LMSW scope, not a separate specialty requiring a different license. What it requires is the right training, the right supervision, and a clear understanding of how clinical and legal systems interact.

WHAT WE OFFER CLINICIANS

Forensic mental health work sits at the intersection of clinical practice and the legal system and for many licensed clinicians, it's closer than they think. These are the ways Tireeka can support you breaking into forensics.
